Colonic sarcoidosis presenting multiple submucosal tumor-like lesions.
Here, we describe a case of colonic sarcoidosis that developed over a 7-year period of observation of intrathoracic sarcoidosis. The patient was asymptomatic, but colonoscopy showed multiple elevated lesions mimicking submucosal tumors in several areas of the colon. The specimens obtained by biopsy showed noncaseating granuloma, suggesting sarcoidosis. The observations in the present case indic...
متن کاملExtrapelvic Uterus-like Masses Presenting as Colonic Submucosal Tumor: A Case Study and Review of Literature
A uterus-like mass (ULM) is a central cavity lined by endometrial glands and stroma and surrounded by thick-walled smooth muscles. To date, 31 cases of ULM have been reported in the English literature. ULM typically presents as a single mass and is located in the pelvic cavity. We report here a very rare case of multiple extrapelvic ULMs involving the cecum, descending colon, and mesocolon. Aft...
متن کاملSarcoidosis Presenting Erythema Nodosum-like Lesions: Report of Two Cases

متن کاملColonic Sarcoidosis Presenting as Granulomatous Appendicitis.
A 64-year-old woman visited our hospital for diarrhea that had persisted for 6 months. She had been treated for diabetes insipidus for 10 years. Her serum CA 19-9 and CEA level, and fecal tests were normal, and the tuberculin skin test was negative. Computed tomography (CT) (Fig. 1) showed hypertrophy of the colon (white arrows) and appendix walls (red arrow) and enlargement of many lymph nodes...

Sarcoidosis can affect the larynx as a manifestation of systemic disease or as isolated laryngeal involvement.
